Aurinko is a facade design aims to blurry inside out by introducing of a series of shelved portable idiophones made from 300 years old Finnish pine where the groove cutouts are based on the Fabinnachi sequence to derive multiple tones within a single block of wood. With traditional Sami carving aesthetics and a matte color palette, Aurinko is a great companion for the Finnish winter in the Arctic region.
Aurinko is commissioned and part of Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort’s permanent collection in Lapland, Finland.
